But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Lortia couldn't finish the play. Astigar Rivet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bittor Buerga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Ayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Itayuru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txeru Randoli to maneuver through the defense. Leoiar Viña kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Bittor Buerga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Ayo in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Itayuru got a freekick which was hit by Txeru Randoli. In the 40th match minute, Yhaty AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesaro Zulueta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Itayuru's zone, Cesaro Zulueta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bittor Buerga came out of the goal and Cesaro Zulueta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astigar Rivet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bittor Buerga having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
In the 52nd minute Astigar Rivet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bittor Buerga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Yhaty AFC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Maeda. Itayuru's Bittor Buerga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astigar Rivet in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yhaty AFC's zone, Ignacio Lortia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generosb Valladares came out of the goal and Ignacio Lortia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Ayo charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Ayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Itayuru getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Gotzon Torices hit a great ball. After 71 minutes of play, Yhaty AFC's Alberto Ayo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bittor Buerga was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Lortia in the 76th minute of play forced Yhaty AFC's goalkeeper Generosb Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Jares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Generosb Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ignacio Lortia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astigar Rivet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bittor Buerga having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
