Txeru Randoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generosb Valladares having to interfere. Rameriz Ceniceros kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itayuru's goalkeeper Bittor Buerga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo Jares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Itayuru got a freekick which was hit by Cris Lizana. Astigar Rivet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cesaro Zulueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bittor Buerga having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astigar Rivet in the 68th minute of play forced Itayuru's goalkeeper Bittor Buerga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Ayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itayuru's goalkeeper Bittor Buerga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto Ayo might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bittor Buerga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Ayo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Itayuru getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Txeru Randoli hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Astigar Rivet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yhaty AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Astigar Rivet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bittor Buerga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bittor Buerga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Ayo in the 84th minute of the match. Armando Maeda charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Maeda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 86 minutes into the game, one of Yhaty AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Itayuru a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gotzon Torices, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yhaty AFC's Generosb Valladares. 1-2. If Ignacio Lortia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 98 minutes into the match, Itayuru's goal looked a bit too open when Astigar Rivet came free, but Bittor Buerga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Itayuru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itayuru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
