Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cerro Porteño's Oroitz Alaiza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Semeno Torneira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal de Sajonia and the Cerro Porteño players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Arsenal de Sajonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semeno Torneira to maneuver through the defense. Eli Morquecho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Villamandos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Arsenal de Sajonia defense, Mirande Val kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eli Morquecho. The Arsenal de Sajonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eli Morquecho should have stopped the shot. Remigio Traus made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Perpinya Quiroz sent off a good shot on target. Arsenal de Sajonia's attack was well implemented in the 18th minute, but when Carlos Dulce was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Perpinya Quiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Remigio Traus made a huge save. Carlos Dulce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cerro Porteño! Arsenal de Sajonia's Carlos Dulce got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caton Herenchun kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ambrosio Villamandos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cerro Porteño's Mirande Val got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute, Semeno Torneira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th match minute, Cerro Porteño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caton Herenchun to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Dulce in the 43rd minute of play forced Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Dulce to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Sajonia's goal looked a bit too open when Caton Herenchun came free, but Eli Morquecho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Carlos Dulce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eli Morquecho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oroitz Alaiza, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute Roberto Bipiana suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Oroitz Alaiza fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerro Porteño's protests and gave Oroitz Alaiza a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Cerro Porteño got a freekick which was hit by Oroitz Alaiza. After a rather tough play, Cerro Porteño's Mirande Val got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 71 played minutes Arsenal de Sajonia got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Dulce. In the 74th minute of the match, Oroitz Alaiza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eli Morquecho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baltasar Anguciana did an outstanding performance 78 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Remigio Traus in the goal. Eli Morquecho made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ambrosio Villamandos sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Baltasar Anguciana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perpinya Quiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oroitz Alaiza in the 94th minute of play forced Arsenal de Sajonia's goalkeeper Eli Morquecho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Perpinya Quiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal de Sajonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perpinya Quiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arsenal de Sajonia had won after a very even match.
