After having played for 7 minutes, Videl Doria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encar City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Videl Doria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Videl Doria struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Remigio Traus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Encar City FC. 14 minutes into the match, Videl Doria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Traus. Cerro Porteño's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Videl Doria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Videl Doria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Videl Doria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Remigio Traus made a huge save. After 32 minutes, Raymond Rendon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Encar City FC and the Cerro Porteño players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Encar City FC's Raymond Rendon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oroitz Alaiza in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carolo Munet saved Encar City FC from getting behind. 45 minutes into the game, Encar City FC's Videl Doria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Traus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Remigio Traus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Videl Doria, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Videl Doria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remigio Traus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otsando Cardoso in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Cerro Porteño got a freekick which was hit by Mirande Val. Remigio Traus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Videl Doria, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Remigio Traus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otsando Cardoso in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Videl Doria in the 89th minute of play forced Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Traus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otsando Cardoso in the 90th minute of the match. Mirande Val kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Videl Doria in the 96th minute of play forced Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
