After a rather tough play, Beatriz's Pes Carbajal got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Cerro Porteño's goal looked a bit too open when Zeruko Curcio came free, but Remigio Traus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beatriz's goalkeeper Fernandez Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mederi Almonte scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Traus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Zeruko Curcio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Zeruko Curcio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remigio Traus was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Zeruko Curcio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Traus having to interfere. Remigio Traus came out of the goal and Zeruko Curcio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Caton Herenchun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oroitz Alaiza made a kick off. With a little luck, Beatriz's Fernandez Fernandez got control of the ball when Ambrosio Villamandos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ambrosio Villamandos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Fernandez Fernandez made a huge save. Mederi Almonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Remigio Traus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeruko Curcio in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Traus saved Cerro Porteño from getting behind. Mederi Almonte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Remigio Traus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Cerro Porteño got a freekick which was hit by Caton Herenchun. After recieving a nice pass, Beatriz's Frutos Sarria tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Remigio Traus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeruko Curcio in the 74th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Oroitz Alaiza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernandez Fernandez. Remigio Traus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Cerro Porteño's goal looked a bit too open when Zeruko Curcio came free, but Remigio Traus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mederi Almonte in the 94th minute of play forced Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Remigio Traus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mederi Almonte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
