In the 5th match minute, LAMBERCITY UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hurko Albalate to maneuver through the defense. Chepe Uria struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Walme Iturbe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Resistencia. Resistencia's Kauan Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Resistencia from getting a goal against them. Walme Iturbe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chepe Uria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walme Iturbe came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Resistencia's Chepe Uria. But to his dismay, Chepe Uria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Chepe Uria sped through LAMBERCITY UNITED's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Walme Iturbe. After having played for 40 minutes, Argenis Fontan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Argenis Fontan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, LAMBERCITY UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Chepe Uria came free, but Walme Iturbe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Walme Iturbe managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Resistencia's Chepe Uria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Hurko Albalate fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LAMBERCITY UNITED's protests and gave Hurko Albalate a yellow card for diving instead.
