After a defensive mix-up in Sport KJU's zone, Lando Dozal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larpe Azpiroz came out of the goal and Lando Dozal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute of the match Gonzales Garantos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Larpe Azpiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claude Urtueta got free with Larpe Azpiroz in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larpe Azpiroz made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Claude Urtueta sent off a good shot on target. When Claude Urtueta came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Nunez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Urtueta couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sport KJU's Bartolome Rivero got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Lando Dozal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Larpe Azpiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Savier Lalo in the 25th minute of play. When Nunez's Claude Urtueta in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport KJU's goalie prevented a goal. Quintan Guijano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramirez Ugartondo in the 33rd minute of the match. Ildephonso Acuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Quintan Guijano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lando Dozal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Larpe Azpiroz was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 39 played minutes Nunez got a freekick which was hit by Savier Lalo. Claude Urtueta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Larpe Azpiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Quintan Guijano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erroman Bono in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Sport KJU got a freekick which was hit by Erroman Bono. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ildephonso Acuña to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Claude Urtueta made a precise shot to the right of Larpe Azpiroz. Sport KJU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Larpe Azpiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lando Dozal, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Claude Urtueta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Larpe Azpiroz was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Lando Dozal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Lando Dozal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nunez's supporters rose to their feet, but Lando Dozal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Larpe Azpiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lando Dozal in the 92nd minute of play forced Sport KJU's goalkeeper Larpe Azpiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larpe Azpiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lando Dozal, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Claude Urtueta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Larpe Azpiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
