Etxahun Albornoz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martinez Bazquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 17 minute of play. Martinez Bazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Martinez Bazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Oxarra Cuebas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martinez Bazquez struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Etxahun Albornoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportivo Luqueño. Club Sportivo Luqueño's Txerran Altemiz got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Natalio's goalkeeper Etxahun Albornoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Licerio Santillana hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Martinez Bazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Sportivo Luqueño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martinez Bazquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Txerran Altemiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sportivo Luqueño's supporters rose to their feet, but Txerran Altemiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etxahun Albornoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Lluba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etxahun Albornoz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriz Jalon during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Club Sportivo Luqueño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriz Jalon to maneuver through the defense. Etxahun Albornoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinez Bazquez in the 86th minute of play. If Oxarra Cuebas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Oxarra Cuebas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Etxahun Albornoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martinez Bazquez during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Martinez Bazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Sportivo Luqueño's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
