Jerrold Martioda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bazkoare Lormendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Dino Trapiella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Garrapata FC's Mauricio Izaga got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Argenis Moyua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rozarius Jaimes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Elvio Cumbres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garrapata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olimpico the free kick. A collision led to Garrapata FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Elvio Cumbres hit a great ball. Modesto Laje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Lumbreras in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rozarius Jaimes in the 30th minute of play forced Olimpico's goalkeeper Modesto Laje to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Garrapata FC's goalkeeper Bazkoare Lormendez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Garrapata FC's Bazkoare Lormendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Trapiella in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Garrapata FC got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Lumbreras. Rozarius Jaimes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rozarius Jaimes fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garrapata FC's protests and gave Rozarius Jaimes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Olimpico booed when Garrapata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rozarius Jaimes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Garrapata FC's Ronaldo Obiano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Olimpico's Argenis Moyua in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garrapata FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Garrapata FC's Rozarius Jaimes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Modesto Laje. That made the score 0-3 after 54 minutes of play. Olimpico's Hartz Portilla quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ronaldo Obiano, made in the 60th minute of the game. In the 64th minute Argenis Moyua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bazkoare Lormendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Olimpico's goalkeeper Modesto Laje had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rozarius Jaimes. In the 70th match minute, Olimpico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerrold Martioda to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Olimpico's Modesto Laje got control of the ball when Rozarius Jaimes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sergio Lumbreras kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Bazkoare Lormendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerrold Martioda in the 80th minute of the match. Olimpico's Modesto Laje played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Entrambasaguas in the 81st minute of play. With his leg Modesto Laje managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Garrapata FC's Rozarius Jaimes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Argenis Moyua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bazkoare Lormendez having to interfere. Dominix Sabon kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Panpili Besteiro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Olimpico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panpili Besteiro couldn't finish the play. Elvio Cumbres got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 94 played minutes Garrapata FC got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Cumbres. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Olimpico lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
