Ildephonso Acuña might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Travieso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildephonso Acuña ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ildephonso Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lop Provencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larpe Azpiroz having to interfere. Maule Caldevila struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Flavio Travieso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport KJU. Larpe Azpiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lop Provencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lop Provencio in the 33rd minute of play forced Sport KJU's goalkeeper Larpe Azpiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 38 minutes, Ildephonso Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport KJU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildephonso Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lop Provencio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pelada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lop Provencio couldn't finish the play. Ildephonso Acuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Flavio Travieso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lop Provencio to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Pelada's Lop Provencio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Larpe Azpiroz. Larpe Azpiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Bernardino Paderniga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelada's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Paderniga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Larpe Azpiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardino Paderniga struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Larpe Azpiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lop Provencio in the 72nd minute of play. Erroman Bono hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maule Caldevila in the 77th minute of play forced Pelada's goalkeeper Flavio Travieso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Larpe Azpiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Paderniga in the 92nd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
