Domenico Isasaga helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Domenico Isasaga hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, Neymar Juniors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Guillermo Paiva put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximo Escajedo. Neymar Juniors struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Maximo Escajedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OLIMPIA. In the 13th minute, Neymar Juniors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OLIMPIA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, OLIMPIA's Guillermo Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Escajedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The OLIMPIA fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when OLIMPIA's Guillermo Paiva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute, Guillermo Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Escajedo. San Lorenzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. After 32 minutes of play, OLIMPIA's Neymar Juniors made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Escajedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximo Escajedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Barboni, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Guillermo Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Escajedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amador Elicegui to make the kick off. With his leg Maximo Escajedo managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when OLIMPIA's Guillermo Paiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Guillermo Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Maximo Escajedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neymar Juniors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Escajedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Paiva in the 66th minute. After 67 minutes of play, OLIMPIA's Guillermo Paiva made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Escajedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. Tohias Perdomo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Maximo Escajedo, was totally fooled by OLIMPIA's Guillermo Paiva, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Guillermo Paiva in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maximo Escajedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Xaver Pidrola hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th play minute Guillermo Paiva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maximo Escajedo. 0-13. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when OLIMPIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Jacolet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Escajedo made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Guillermo Paiva sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Almir de Andrade in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Escajedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guillermo Paivas short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Maximo Escajedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. OLIMPIA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
