If Yoelvis Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Ximeno didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 28th minute. Pio FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 32nd minute, Ramiro Ximeno made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Armiñan. Piron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 45 minutes into the match, Piron's goalkeeper Sabin Armiñan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoelvis Roldan. In the 47th minute Ramiro Ximeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Armiñan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pio FC's Santxol Gayangos got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Larpe Urria to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Pio FC booed when Piron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Reguilon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Ximeno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabin Armiñan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Ramiro Ximeno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sabin Armiñan. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Ximeno couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Piron's zone, Ramiro Ximeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabin Armiñan came out of the goal and Ramiro Ximeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sabin Armiñan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiro Ximeno's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Ximeno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabin Armiñan was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoelvis Roldan in the 95th minute of play forced Piron's goalkeeper Sabin Armiñan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pio FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
