After 29th play minutes Pablo Montoya shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Elio Cano and just under the crossbar into goal. Domingo Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Hutton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcio Herrera having to make a save. When Isidoro Albam came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Constanza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Albam couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Barahona's Elio Cano got control of the ball when Pablo Montoya tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Isidoro Albam came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Constanza fans jumped to their feet. The referee showed Domingo Hutton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
