Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) Independencia's Iñigo Jurado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Leo Casagrande fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Constanza's protests and gave Leo Casagrande a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Independencia booed when Constanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Casagrande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 played minutes Independencia got a freekick which was hit by Julio Ojeda. If Alexander Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Independencia's Marcio Herrera threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iñigo Jurado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 26th minute, Melky Willick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Constanza's William Chapado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Independencia. Isidoro Albam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abraham Elizondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iván Peralta during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Constanza's Iván Peralta got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Edwar Fierro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Constanza's Marcio Herrera didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Constanza's zone, Alexander Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcio Herrera came out of the goal and Alexander Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Isidoro Albam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abraham Elizondo was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Abraham Elizondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Montoya, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Julio Ojeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcio Herrera having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidoro Albam was the one to do the kick off. Abraham Elizondo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Isidoro Albam sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Iñigo Jurado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcio Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iñigo Jurado in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Albam in the 71st minute of play forced Independencia's goalkeeper Abraham Elizondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Julio Ojeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcio Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Romero in the 74th minute of the match. Iñigo Jurado might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcio Herrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iñigo Jurado ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexander Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marcio Herrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iñigo Jurado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcio Herrera having to interfere. Constanza's Marcio Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melky Willick in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Isidoro Albam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abraham Elizondo. Isidoro Albam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Constanza's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
