Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salta Futbol Club's Jimeno Teodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 4th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Jimeno Teodor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Salta Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Jimeno Teodor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 19th minute. Alejandro Indartsu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jimeno Teodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flavio Mede kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. David Eikelkamp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Teodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. In the 32nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Indartsu in the 37th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Florencio Froila charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Froila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Florencio Froila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejandro Indartsu made a kick off. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Jimeno Teodor made a huge save. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salta Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Jimeno Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 61st minute of play. Flavio Mede kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Salta Futbol Club getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Van Denayer hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes's late challenge caught a Salta Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wim Wilmes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Teodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Indartsu in the 84th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Salta Futbol Club's Van Denayer got a free kick in the 88th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Teodor having to interfere. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
