A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Adolfo García managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juncalito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo García was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Yaguate's Benito Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleoncio Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adolfo García blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Albuquerque having to make a save. In the 31st minute Adolfo García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Juncalito's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Ferreira came free, but Eleoncio Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eleoncio Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabio Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleoncio Guerra having to interfere. Juncalito's Eleoncio Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Ferreira in the 40th minute of play. Juncalito's Eleoncio Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Juncalito from getting a goal against them. If Adolfo García had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklyn Howard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th match minute, Juncalito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Bravo to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklyn Howard in the 66th minute of play forced Yaguate's goalkeeper Salvador Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Albuquerque was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Franklyn Howard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Franklyn Howard really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benito Ferreira in the 71st minute of play forced Juncalito's goalkeeper Eleoncio Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Franklyn Howard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juncalito's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklyn Howard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eleoncio Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yaguate's Ismael Correa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eleoncio Guerra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Amado Fonts charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Fonts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Juncalito's Franklyn Howard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salvador Albuquerque. Salvador Albuquerque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 98th minute of the game. One of Yaguate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Juncalito:s goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Juncalito eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
