Spectators: 6848 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aquilino Segovia took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guananico AF's zone, Osvaldo Albornoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Lobos came out of the goal and Osvaldo Albornoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th match minute, Guananico AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olegario Olivares to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Maura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leoncio Contreras in the 9th minute. A collision led to El Cercado CP getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Francisco Andrews hit a great ball. If Leoncio Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Guananico AF defense, Aquilino Segovia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Lobos. The Guananico AF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Lobos should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Guananico AF's zone, Osvaldo Albornoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Lobos came out of the goal and Osvaldo Albornoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, El Cercado CP's goalkeeper Danilo Maura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leoncio Contreras. Leoncio Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Danilo Maura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Guananico AF's Óscar Lobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Segovia in the 52nd minute of play. Danilo Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leoncio Contreras, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Danilo Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leoncio Contreras in the 61st minute of play. Toribio Orellano's late challenge caught a Guananico AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toribio Orellano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Cercado CP's Toribio Orellano got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Fidel Naranjo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guananico AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Naranjo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Maura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fidel Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Marino Cuéllar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guananico AF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Cercado CP the free kick. A collision led to Guananico AF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marino Cuéllar hit a great ball. Guananico AF's Óscar Lobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Segovia in the 76th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Guananico AF's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Segovia came free, but Óscar Lobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fermín Hopkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Leoncio Contreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 99 minutes into the match, El Cercado CP's Osvaldo Albornoz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Lobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
