Espaillat AC's Josué Haas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Isidoro Soria came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Espaillat AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Soria couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Darcy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Comendador CF's Ceferino Balaguer got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Espaillat AC's Octavio Lugano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. In the 82nd match minute, Comendador CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwards Soler to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Espaillat AC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
