Spectators: 6848 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1848, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benjamín Medina kicked off to start the match. Frank Melgarejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Patterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 15 played minutes Guayaubín UDC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamín Medina. Ariel Halle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolando Albam in the 18th minute. Ariel Halle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Osorio in the 24th minute of play. If Alejandro Osorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rolando Albam came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Hato Mayor CD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Albam couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Guayaubín UDC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Osorio came free, but Ariel Halle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Osorio in the 35th minute of play forced Guayaubín UDC's goalkeeper Ariel Halle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Guayaubín UDC's Benjamín Medina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Melgarejo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alejandro Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hato Mayor CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Halle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 43 minutes, Rolando Albam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hato Mayor CD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Albam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Albam got free with Ariel Halle in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute Stan Gaitán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Halle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hato Mayor CD's Wilmer Mercedes got a free kick in the 56th minute. Wilfredo Espinal, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ariel Halle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Osorio in the 61st minute of play. After 62 played minutes Guayaubín UDC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Bonnelly. Ariel Halle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Osorio in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Guayaubín UDC's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Albam came free, but Ariel Halle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Guayaubín UDC booed when Hato Mayor CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stan Gaitán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Melgarejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamín Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Benjamín Medina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marlón Angulo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benjamín Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Melgarejo having to interfere. If Benjamín Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Hato Mayor CD getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Eusebio Valverde hit a great ball. Frank Melgarejo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamín Medina's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Ariel Halle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Albam in the 86th minute of play. Frank Melgarejo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamín Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Albam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Halle having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
