When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Lugano made a kick off. Eduardo Lugano had several of the San Juan's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Porfirio Badía as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in San Juan's zone, Eduardo Lugano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Lugano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Porfirio Badía when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the game, Lucas Britos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Juan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tamboril UD the free kick. After 68 played minutes San Juan got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Britos. A sloppy throw-in by Felicio Roma in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tamboril UD's Ace Whitney. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Lugano in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Porfirio Badía prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Ace Whitney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Lugano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porfirio Badía having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Andy Fernández notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tamboril UD's Graciano Otero. Graciano Otero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucas Britos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Graciano Otero having to interfere.
