Spectators: 6854 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1854, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arquímedes Navarro took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arquímedes Navarro in the 4th minute of play forced Azua's goalkeeper Rodrigo Parra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Rodríguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arquímedes Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arquímedes Navarro in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Parra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 played minutes Azua got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Madrid. Azua's Rodrigo Parra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arquímedes Navarro in the 16th minute of play. If Olegario Peguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sanchez AD booed when Azua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Iturralde didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Arquímedes Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sanchez AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arquímedes Navarro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Azua's zone, Arquímedes Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Parra came out of the goal and Arquímedes Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the last second Emanuel Beltrán throw himself and got hold of the ball when Clemente Zamora in the 29thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Clemente Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play, Sanchez AD's Arquímedes Navarro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodrigo Parra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ovidio Rodríguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rodrigo Parra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Parra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arquímedes Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Zamora to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Clemente Zamora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Beltrán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Azua getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Apolinar Centeno hit a great ball. Arquímedes Navarro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Parra having to make a save. If Clemente Zamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st match minute, Azua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Runelvys Rivera to maneuver through the defense. If Ovidio Rodríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Zepeda was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Humberto Willick notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sanchez AD's Emanuel Beltrán. Emanuel Beltrán was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, one of Azua:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azua. Geovanny De Castro shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 90 minutes, Humberto Willick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Willick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Humberto Willick, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 95 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Emanuel Beltrán was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Humberto Willick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Beltrán having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
