Spectators: 6877 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1877, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bartolomé Minaya took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the game, Florencio Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Duarte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Pinar the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bartolomé Minaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duarte's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolomé Minaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartolomé Minaya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernando Carrión in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Carrión in the 20th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Roque Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartolomé Minaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Cardozo having to interfere. If Gonzalo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tito Aguilar's late challenge caught a El Pinar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tito Aguilar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Duarte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Aguilar to maneuver through the defense. Wilkin Salazar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bartolomé Minaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in El Pinar's zone, Hernando Carrión stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roque Cardozo came out of the goal and Hernando Carrión tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Montañas was the one to do the kick off. Hernando Carrión sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernando Carrión recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Jack Cerilo. 64 minutes into the match, Hernando Carrión notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of El Pinar's Roque Cardozo. Roque Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. El Pinar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Bartolomé Minaya scored to the left of an out of position Roque Cardozo, making the score, 0-2. In the 72nd match minute, El Pinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balduino Ulibarri to maneuver through the defense. Roque Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Hernando Carrión sent off a good shot on target. Jack Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Roque Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomé Minaya in the 81st minute of the match. If Gonzalo Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Octavio Del Rio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonardo Montañas came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the El Pinar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Montañas couldn't finish the play.
