Spectators: 6955 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Palacios got the match started through his kick off. After 5 played minutes Cabarete got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Samaniego. Cabarete's Mario Vinicio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Palacios in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Cabarete booed when CAIM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Ponce de León didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Daniel Palacios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mario Vinicio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabarete's goalkeeper Mario Vinicio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Vinicio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Palacios, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Kenny Cifuentes charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenny Cifuentes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Cabarete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Cifuentes to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Palacios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Vinicio having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Daniel Palacios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CAIM FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Daniel Palacios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Vinicio having to interfere. Roberto Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabarete's goalkeeper Mario Vinicio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Palacios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mario Vinicio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half CAIM FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elizardo Estévez made a kick off. Elizardo Estévez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes CAIM FC got a freekick which was hit by Franquelis Macedo. Johnny Samaniego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Oviedo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Oviedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Franquelis Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Pérez kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Blas Guerrero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Ureña showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Cabarete's Mario Vinicio got control of the ball when Roberto Benavides tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruben Ureña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elizardo Estévez in the 82nd minute of play. Daniel Palacios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Vinicio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Mario Vinicio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Palacios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenny Cifuentes hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Roberto Benavides hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ruben Ureña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Samaniego in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Johnny Samaniego managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabarete's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Samaniego was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Ureña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 played minutes CAIM FC got a freekick which was hit by Al Canal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CAIM FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
