Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beltrán Arévalo in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Graciano Rincón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Beltrán Arévalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAT FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beltrán Arévalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graciano Rincón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zachary Castro came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Valverde AD's Gustavo Diaz. But to his dismay, Gustavo Diaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Julio Albornoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zachary Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Zachary Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Albornoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Zachary Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Albornoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Castro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CAT FC's zone, Julio Albornoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachary Castro came out of the goal and Julio Albornoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valverde AD's Graciano Rincón proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Valverde AD from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Albornoz in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zachary Castro saved CAT FC from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Albornoz to make the kick off. Gustavo Diaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Zachary Castro made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Gustavo Diaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valverde AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Aquilino Linares hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Valverde AD's zone, Beltrán Arévalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Graciano Rincón came out of the goal and Beltrán Arévalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Albornoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabian Villarreal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Beltrán Arévalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graciano Rincón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Urrutia kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Beltrán Arévalo managed to get in a good position for a shot.
