The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan José Treviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yorkis Madrid having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Sala in the 22nd minute of play forced World Class's goalkeeper Bartolomeo Fowler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Melgar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Yorkis Madrid when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rico Gasol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolomeo Fowler having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Alvin Halle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirata F.C. and the World Class players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elvio Altamirano hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, World Class's goalkeeper Bartolomeo Fowler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adalberto Sala. If Adalberto Sala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teobaldo Fuentes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yorkis Madrid. Pirata F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yorkis Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan José Treviño in the 90th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Adalberto Sala fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bartolomeo Fowler, passed just outside the right post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
