Spectators: 9385 (Terracing: 7041, Seating: 2158, VIP seats: 186) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toribio Monroy started the match with the kick off. In the 19th minute Hipólito Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rico Juárez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Miches's Lisandro Ballesteros got a free kick in the 29th minute. Rico Juárez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipólito Cortez in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Sanabeta's Diómedes Carrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson Velázquez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipólito Cortez made a kick off. In the 56th minute Plácido Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rico Juárez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Miches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Espaillat to maneuver through the defense. If Diómedes Carrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Baldomero Riojas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanabeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Riojas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Velázquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Baldomero Riojas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hipólito Cortez in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rico Juárez saved Sanabeta from getting behind. Nelson Velázquez made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Diómedes Carrera sent off a good shot on target. Diómedes Carrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Velázquez having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Miches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Hipólito Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miches fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. When the referee ended the match the Miches players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
