Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Consuelo CD's Raimundo Hortas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Hipólito Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miches's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipólito Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartolo Melgar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipólito Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Miches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Hipólito Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miches's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipólito Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Melgar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Hipólito Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Melgar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Consuelo CD's goal looked a bit too open when Plácido Figueroa came free, but Bartolo Melgar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Denny Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Bartolo Melgar. Consuelo CD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Denny Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bartolo Melgar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipólito Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Nelson Velázquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Hortas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Miches were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hipólito Cortez was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Consuelo CD's Armando Herrero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Velázquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Consuelo CD booed when Miches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balvino Rangel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Velázquez came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Consuelo CD's Raimundo Hortas. But to his dismay, Raimundo Hortas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Hortas in the 77th minute of play forced Miches's goalkeeper Nelson Velázquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Miches got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Venegas. In the 83rd match minute, Miches was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. Federico Ávila hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute of the match Plácido Figueroa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bartolo Melgar skillfully saved the ball. Plácido Figueroa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bartolo Melgar came out and tried to block the shot, but Plácido Figueroa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 92nd minute. Miches's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
