Esmerling Arellano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartolo Melgar having to make a save. In the 7th match minute, Consuelo CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Reynoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 11thth minute of the game Eloy Canellas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consuelo CD's Bartolo Melgar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucio Chapado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Hortas in the 17th minute of the match. Armando Herrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lucio Chapado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eloy Canellas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Hortas scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucio Chapado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 played minutes Guzmán got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Córdova. In the 32nd minute, José Maria Reynoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Canellas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, José Maria Reynoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consuelo CD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guzmán the free kick. The supporters of Guzmán booed when Consuelo CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Reynoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Arrese's late challenge caught a Guzmán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Arrese helped the player get up and apologised. Bartolo Melgar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Canellas in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Consuelo CD's Armando Herrero got a free kick in the 44th minute. The supporters of Guzmán booed when Consuelo CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Hortas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eloy Canellas to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Federico Ávila notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Guzmán's Lucio Chapado. Lucio Chapado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 57 minutes into the match, Guzmán's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Ávila came free, but Lucio Chapado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Chapado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Herrero went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 62 minutes into the match, Guzmán's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Ávila came free, but Lucio Chapado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Eloy Canellas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Consuelo CD's Bartolo Melgar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Lobo lost his temper 65 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guzmán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Bartolo Melgar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eloy Canellas in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Consuelo CD's José Maria Reynoso got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Raimundo Hortas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucio Chapado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Herrero in the 77th minute of play. Guzmán's Lucio Chapado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Herrero in the 79th minute of play. Consuelo CD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Eloy Canellas scored to the left of an out of position Bartolo Melgar, making the score, 5-2. Raimundo Hortas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Peguero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bartolo Melgar came out and tried to block the shot, but Robert Peguero slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Consuelo CD's zone, Gaspar Iturralde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartolo Melgar came out of the goal and Gaspar Iturralde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guzmán players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Consuelo CD.
