Spectators: 9211 (Terracing: 6910, Seating: 2118, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julio Albornoz started the match with the kick off. When Gustavo Diaz came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Valverde AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Diaz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvin Halle during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Valverde AD booed when Pirata F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Halle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Yorkis Madrid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Máximo Peña kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Gustavo Diaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yorkis Madrid having to make a save. Yorkis Madrid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Albornoz in the 28th minute of play. Graciano Rincón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rico Gasol in the 32nd minute of play. Rico Gasol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Graciano Rincón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalberto Sala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Graciano Rincón having to interfere. Pirata F.C.'s Máximo Peña got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rico Gasol made a kick off. Valverde AD's Graciano Rincón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rico Gasol in the 53rd minute of play. Adalberto Sala might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Graciano Rincón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Sala ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valverde AD's goalkeeper Graciano Rincón, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rico Gasol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adalberto Sala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rico Gasol struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Graciano Rincón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirata F.C.. If Adalberto Sala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Máximo Peña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirata F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valverde AD the free kick. The supporters of Valverde AD booed when Pirata F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Peña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yorkis Madrid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Diaz in the 88th minute. Gustavo Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
