Gilberto Schultz charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Schultz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes La Vega FC got a freekick which was hit by Aramis Richardson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Palacios in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Villamayor saved La Vega FC from getting behind. Jafet Naranjo might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alonso Villamayor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jafet Naranjo ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Schultz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Aramis Richardson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Lenny Ayala made a huge save. Pedro Brizuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lenny Ayala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Dickson in the 30th minute of play forced Molza United's goalkeeper Lenny Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th play minute Aramis Richardson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lenny Ayala. 1-0. After 39 minutes, Juan Dickson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Vega FC and the Molza United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Vega FC's Juan Dickson got a free kick in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jafet Naranjo in the 42nd minute of play forced La Vega FC's goalkeeper Alonso Villamayor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Juan Dickson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Vega FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Dickson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Pedro Brizuela made the kick off in the second half. If Elián Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Brizuela in the 57th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, Molza United's Armando Palacios made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alonso Villamayor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Brizuela struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lenny Ayala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Vega FC. After a rather tough play, Molza United's Epifanio Zárate got a free kick in the 66th minute. Armando Palacios in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alonso Villamayor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jafet Naranjo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonso Villamayor having to make a save. Pedro Brizuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny Ayala having to interfere. Armando Palacios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to La Vega FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elián Linares hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Vega FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Alonso Villamayor, was totally fooled by Molza United's Diómedes Medina, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Juan Dickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny Ayala having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Juan Dickson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Lenny Ayala was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 98 minutes into the match, La Vega FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jafet Naranjo came free, but Alonso Villamayor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Vega FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
