Delfines del Este F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 23 minutes, Melky Leiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Delfines del Este F.C's zone, Melky Leiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Estrada came out of the goal and Melky Leiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, one of Delfines del Este F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Delfines del Este F.C. Delfines del Este F.C:s Ulises Estrada showed great skill when he stopped Juan Cabrero:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melky Leiva in the 36th minute of play forced Delfines del Este F.C's goalkeeper Ulises Estrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quitasueño were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
