Seating: 2132, VIP seats: 184) Quitasueño's Melky Leiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Quitasueño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Riveras to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Amadeo Frederik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Odalis Zambrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quitasueño's goalkeeper Odalis Zambrano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeo Frederik hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Amadeo Frederik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Odalis Zambrano. Quitasueño's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Frederik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melky Leiva in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Espinoza saved Independencia CF from getting behind. When Juan Cabrero came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Quitasueño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Cabrero couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Narciso Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odalis Zambrano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Espinoza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melky Leiva in the 34th minute of the match. Melky Leiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alfonso Espinoza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Gartzi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Odalis Zambrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Gartzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Espinoza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melky Leiva in the 60th minute of the match. When Juan Cabrero came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Quitasueño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Cabrero couldn't finish the play. With his leg Odalis Zambrano managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Independencia CF's Amadeo Frederik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, Amadeo Frederik notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Quitasueño's Odalis Zambrano. Odalis Zambrano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Narciso Gartzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independencia CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Gartzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odalis Zambrano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melky Leiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Independencia CF's zone, Balvino Gasol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Espinoza came out of the goal and Balvino Gasol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the game, Independencia CF's Amadeo Frederik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Odalis Zambrano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 93 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Serrano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independencia CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quitasueño the free kick. The supporters of Quitasueño booed when Independencia CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Serrano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Espinoza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melky Leiva's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Independencia CF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
