After 10 played minutes Elite Special Unit got a freekick which was hit by Timothy Balaguer. Joel Cejas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Guajardo in the 12th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gazcue 608 United's zone, David Guajardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Cejas came out of the goal and David Guajardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabricio Carrión charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabricio Carrión the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gazcue 608 United's Fabricio Carrión got a free kick in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that David Guajardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Cejas was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Timothy Balaguer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elite Special Unit fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 28thth minute of the game David Guajardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gazcue 608 United's Joel Cejas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elite Special Unit's Fabian Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matt Ureña in the 32nd minute of play. Fabricio Carrión kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, David Guajardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Gazcue 608 United's goal looked a bit too open when David Guajardo came free, but Joel Cejas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Guajardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Joel Cejas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Timothy Balaguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Elite Special Unit booed when Gazcue 608 United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Guajardo made a kick off. Gazcue 608 United's Matt Ureña got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matt Ureña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Cejas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Guajardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that David Guajardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Cejas was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 64th minute Alvin Bucher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Elite Special Unit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Balaguer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Guajardo in the 83rd minute of play forced Gazcue 608 United's goalkeeper Joel Cejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gazcue 608 United's Fabricio Carrión got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Fabricio Carrión off the ground.
