Robert Villarreal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Fierro in the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Alfonso Turnbull managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Llano's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Turnbull was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Villarreal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 minutes, Máximo Cedeño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salcedo UC and the El Llano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of El Llano booed when Salcedo UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Cedeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Alfonso Turnbull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes El Llano got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Griffin. In the 37th minute Anselmo Alcott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Mercedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Mercedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Alcott's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Alfonso Turnbull notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Salcedo UC's Robert Villarreal. Robert Villarreal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Alcott made a kick off. After some careless play in the Salcedo UC defense, Pedro Fierro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Villarreal. The Salcedo UC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Villarreal should have stopped the shot. Pedro Fierro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Robert Villarreal made a huge save. Robert Villarreal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Fierro went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.
