Pascual Palacio came out of the goal and Anthony Canal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Abel Yáñez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuervos de Villa Tapia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Yáñez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Zambrano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Ledesma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Isidoro Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Peñón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuervos de Villa Tapia's goalkeeper Pascual Palacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pascual Palacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Canal in the 31st minute of play. Paco Montañas kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Anthony Canal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute of the match, Anthony Canal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pascual Palacio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Carreón during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Anthony Canal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascual Palacio was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
