In the 5th minute, Severino Aiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfonso Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Severino Aiza hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Pinar's zone, Pedro Fierro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Del Solar came out of the goal and Pedro Fierro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruno Mercedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marino Urrutia in the 20th minute. Pedro Fierro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 28 minutes, Salomón Vinicio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Llano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salomón Vinicio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Evaristo Griffin managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Llano's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Griffin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Del Solar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Mercedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Salinas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Salomón Vinicio came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the El Llano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomón Vinicio couldn't finish the play. Evaristo Griffin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Ceferino Del Solar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bruno Mercedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marino Urrutia, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Despite being the better team, El Llano failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
