SantiagoFc's Julio Patterson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save SantiagoFc from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, SantiagoFc's goal looked a bit too open when Toño Caminero came free, but Julio Patterson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Lesli Ochoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Michael Bartlett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willy Lara to make the kick off. The supporters of Miches booed when SantiagoFc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lesli Ochoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. SantiagoFc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lesli Ochoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SantiagoFc players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Miches from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
