The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paco Montañas helped the player get up and apologised. Paco Montañas kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. El Peñón FC's Adolfo Zambrano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save El Peñón FC from getting a goal against them. When Celestino Canellas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Pinar's protests and gave Celestino Canellas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Celestino Canellas hit a great ball. Anastas Tejada was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Anthony Canal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Pinar's Ceferino Del Solar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Canal in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Canal came free, but Ceferino Del Solar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When El Peñón FC's Isidoro Ledesma in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Canal in the 39th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Ceferino Del Solar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Pinar's Ceferino Del Solar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Canal in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes El Pinar got a freekick which was hit by Máximo Méndez. Arthur Salinas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Zambrano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Isidoro Ledesma in the 47th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.

When Arthur Salinas came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the El Pinar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Salinas couldn't finish the play. Anthony Canal might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Del Solar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Canal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Severino Aiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, El Peñón FC's Anastas Tejada broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Arthur Salinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Zambrano having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El Peñón FC's Danilo Flores got a free kick in the 61st minute. Adolfo Zambrano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Salinas in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony Canal in the 72nd minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Ceferino Del Solar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marino Urrutia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ceferino Del Solar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Marino Urrutia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Isidoro Ledesma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. El Pinar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
