Marcos Dickson was slow to take the kick. During this time Churchill FC's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willy Lara got free with Camilo Neto in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Lara in the 29th minute of play forced Churchill FC's goalkeeper Camilo Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Willy Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Bartlett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allahyar Akbar's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Miches's zone, Kenny Rivas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Bartlett came out of the goal and Kenny Rivas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Dickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Michael Bartlett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Allahyar Akbar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Bartlett. Miches's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allahyar Akbar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Allahyar Akbar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michael Bartlett was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The Miches players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Churchill FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willy Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcos Dickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bartlett having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Yohan Cañas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Anibal Ibarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Churchill FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Ibarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Bartlett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 89 minutes, Kenny Rivas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Churchill FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenny Rivas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allahyar Akbar in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Churchill FC's Anibal Ibarra got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
