Ceferino Del Solar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Figueroa in the 30th minute of the match. SantiagoFc's Julio Patterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Salinas in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Arthur Salinas made a precise shot to the right of Julio Patterson. SantiagoFc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 44th minute Marino Urrutia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Patterson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

El Pinar played a much better game than SantiagoFc and deserved their victory. The SantiagoFc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
