In the 17thth minute of the game Juan Luis Vega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Pinar's Ceferino Del Solar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Monroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ceferino Del Solar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lázaro Peñalba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Salinas in the 27th minute of the match. Lázaro Peñalba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Salinas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Arthur Salinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Máximo Méndez fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Pinar's protests and gave Máximo Méndez a yellow card for diving instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arthur Salinas to strike the kick off in the second half. Ceferino Del Solar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Monroy in the 55th minute of the match. Norberto Ulloa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ceferino Del Solar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as El Pinar's Marino Urrutia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lázaro Peñalba. That made the score 2-1 after 69 minutes of play. 72 minutes into the match, Garabito's goalkeeper Lázaro Peñalba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marino Urrutia. Marino Urrutia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lázaro Peñalba having to make a save. Lázaro Peñalba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marino Urrutia in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Norberto Ulloa notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of El Pinar's Ceferino Del Solar. Ceferino Del Solar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Garabito's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
