With a little luck, Miches's Michael Bartlett got control of the ball when Arthur Salinas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Runelvys Cano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceferino Del Solar having to interfere. El Pinar's Ceferino Del Solar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willy Lara in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Willy Lara came free, but Ceferino Del Solar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur Salinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Michael Bartlett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marino Urrutia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Salinas to make the kick off. Marino Urrutia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Bartlett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Máximo Méndez's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Marino Urrutia took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Bartlett. Michael Bartlett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marino Urrutia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bartlett having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Miches got a freekick which was hit by Toño Caminero. Michael Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marino Urrutia in the 69th minute of play. Willy Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of El Pinar booed when Miches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Cazorla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Wilfredo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miches's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marino Urrutia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Pinar's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
