Bernard Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elizardo Calvo in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Bonao's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Cuenca came free, but Bernard Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elizardo Calvo got free with Bernard Macedo in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Martín Luján had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernard Macedo. Estudiantes de Bonao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martín Luján was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Martín Luján scored 0-6 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernard Macedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernard Macedo was a little too slow when Martín Luján got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-7. 77 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Bonao's goalkeeper Bernard Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Cuenca.
