Loveland's Yacine Amara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Said Harkouk in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Mohamed Hammad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loveland and the Dodge City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Mohamed Hammad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Houari Gaouaoui came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Dodge City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Houari Gaouaoui couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Said Harkouk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dodge City's supporters rose to their feet, but Said Harkouk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yacine Amara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th match minute, Dodge City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdelnacer Dahleb to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Faouzi Fanon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chaba Ibrir skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Said Harkouk in the 30th minute of play forced Loveland's goalkeeper Yacine Amara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Houari Gaouaoui had several of the Loveland's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Yacine Amara as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 40th minute, one of Loveland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Loveland. Yacine Amara had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Edmond Mami's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 48th minute Said Harkouk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yacine Amara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Houari Gaouaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yacine Amara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Houari Gaouaoui in the 56th minute of play. Said Harkouk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yacine Amara having to interfere. There was no doubt that Dodge City were the better team. Dodge City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
