An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Hammad in the 44th minute of play forced Loveland's goalkeeper Yacine Amara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loveland's Yacine Amara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Hammad in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krim Megharia was the one to do the kick off. Fawzi Horr's late challenge caught a Portage FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. One of Loveland:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portage FC:s goal. Yacine Amara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Hammad in the 99th minute of play. Portage FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
