Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mimoun Ouid Diafat started the match with the kick off. Djamal Zemmamouche took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 2nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amine Boniche. Sewanee FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Djabir Medjiba fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sewanee FC's protests and gave Djabir Medjiba a yellow card for diving instead. Djabir Medjiba kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Abderrachid Bencherif took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Amine Boniche to make any attempt to save it. Sewanee FC's Amine Boniche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abderrachid Bencherif in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Mebarek Benhamou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sewanee FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mebarek Benhamou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sewanee FC's zone, Nouredine Sam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amine Boniche came out of the goal and Nouredine Sam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amine Boniche made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Nouredine Sam sent off a good shot on target. Fadhil Fergani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mimoun Ouid Diafat in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Mimoun Ouid Diafat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fadhil Fergani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Amine Boniche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abderrachid Bencherif in the 45th minute of play. Fadhil Fergani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mimoun Ouid Diafat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abderrachid Bencherif to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Daniel Medjani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saints United and the Sewanee FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Medjani hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Mebarek Benhamou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fadhil Fergani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Krim Zidān charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Krim Zidān the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halim Benida got free with Fadhil Fergani in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Sewanee FC's Mimoun Ouid Diafat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fadhil Fergani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Abderrachid Bencherif had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amine Boniche. Sewanee FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abderrachid Bencherif was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Fadhil Fergani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mimoun Ouid Diafat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Abderrachid Bencherif got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Abderrachid Bencherif sped through Sewanee FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amine Boniche. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sewanee FC! When Daniel Medjani was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. The supporters of Sewanee FC booed when Saints United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Medjani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saints United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sewanee FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
