Merrionette FC's Anthar Metref played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Boulmerka in the 11th minute of play. Spanaway AFC's Rabah Lacarne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rachid Gaouaoui in the 15th minute of play. Merrionette FC's Anthar Metref played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Boulmerka in the 17th minute of play. After 21 minutes, Mohamed Assad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spanaway AFC and the Merrionette FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Spanaway AFC! In the 28th minute Rabah Boulmerka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthar Metref saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Merrionette FC booed when Spanaway AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maïssa Ahmed didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Spanaway AFC's zone, Rachid Gaouaoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rabah Lacarne came out of the goal and Rachid Gaouaoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rabah Boulmerka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rachid Gaouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merrionette FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rachid Gaouaoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rabah Lacarne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 49 minutes, Rachid Gaouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merrionette FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Gaouaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Spanaway AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merrionette FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rabah Boulmerka to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthar Metref made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abd al-Aziz Bensaïd in the 58th minute of play. Merrionette FC's Anthar Metref played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabah Boulmerka in the 70th minute of play. Mimoun Khadra charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Anthar Metref showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abd al-Aziz Bensaïd in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rabah Boulmerka in the 95th minute of play forced Merrionette FC's goalkeeper Anthar Metref to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Spanaway AFC's Abd al-Aziz Bensaïd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthar Metref made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
