Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anthar Metref took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bellemou Benflis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Noureddine Maroc came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lake Lorraine AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noureddine Maroc couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Salim Ziani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rachid Gaouaoui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Abd al-Aziz Djebar made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Lake Lorraine AFC's goalkeeper Abd al-Aziz Djebar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rachid Gaouaoui. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Merrionette FC's Anthar Metref played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bellemou Benflis in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Noureddine Maroc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noureddine Maroc did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Anthar Metref 61 minutes into the match. Rachid Gaouaoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abd al-Aziz Djebar having to interfere. In the 67th minute Rachid Gaouaoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abd al-Aziz Djebar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rachid Gaouaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Noureddine Maroc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bellemou Benflis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthar Metref having to interfere. Anthar Metref was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Bellemou Benflis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bellemou Benflis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Salim Ziani kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Abd al-Aziz Djebar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rachid Gaouaoui's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Lake Lorraine AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lake Lorraine AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
