Bellemou Prévost hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Rantoul's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Kraouche came free, but Hakim Meskine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hakim Meskine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Madhi Fari went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Madhi Fari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Meskine having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Rantoul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boubekeur Bourebbou to maneuver through the defense. Halim Bencherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Meskine having to interfere. The corner led Rantoul's Frantz Zerguelaine to fire away a dangerous shot which Abd el Ihidjaten despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Encinitas's goalkeeper Abd el Ihidjaten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehdi Soltani. The attack was good, but when Mehdi Soltani in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Madhi Fari in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Meskine saved Rantoul from getting behind. Hakim Meskine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Madhi Fari's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Madhi Fari in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Meskine saved Rantoul from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boubekeur Bourebbou in the 40th minute of play forced Encinitas's goalkeeper Abd el Ihidjaten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Amine Khaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Encinitas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boubekeur Bourebbou to make the kick off. Hakim Meskine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Madhi Fari's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Madhi Fari who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Hakim Meskine when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Mehdi Soltani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rantoul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Abd el Ihidjaten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boubekeur Bourebbou's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Madhi Fari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hakim Meskine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. With his leg Hakim Meskine managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Encinitas's Madhi Fari fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ahmed Kraouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Meskine having to interfere. Hakim Meskine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Madhi Fari's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Madhi Fari might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hakim Meskine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Madhi Fari ran back to his position shaking his head. Amine Khaldi took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hakim Meskine. Hakim Meskine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Halim Bencherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rantoul's Hakim Meskine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madhi Fari in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Encinitas's goal looked a bit too open when Boubekeur Bourebbou came free, but Abd el Ihidjaten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rantoul's zone, Madhi Fari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Meskine came out of the goal and Madhi Fari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Encinitas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rantoul throughout the match.
