In the 30th minute Mohammed Ahmed Zenia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hameur Messaoud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Bensaoula's late challenge caught a Day Heights AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Bensaoula helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Day Heights AFC booed when Patterson Township FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Bensaoula didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Ali Ghozali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Day Heights AFC's Faouzi Bourebbou pulled a muscle in his back after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ferhat Mansouri charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferhat Mansouri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Patterson Township FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Day Heights AFC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abdelhamid Boumedienne, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patterson Township FC's Hameur Messaoud. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After 67 played minutes Day Heights AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Apap. Mohammed Ahmed Zenia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hameur Messaoud having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ali Nasro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patterson Township FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Nasro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lili Gaouaoui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mohammed Ahmed Zenia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hameur Messaoud having to interfere. Mohammed Ahmed Zenia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ali Nasro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
